Léa Rubio

Rubio plays as a midfielder and has been active with the France women's national football team on the youth circuit.

In 2006, at the age of 15, she made her league debut with the club, who were playing in the second division of French women's football.

She appeared in three cup matches scoring one goal helping Montpellier win the 2008–09 edition of the Challenge de France.

Rubio scored her lone goal in the tournament against the United States in the final group stage match.

With the under-19s, Rubio played in the La Manga Cup international tournament and the 2009 UEFA Women's Under-19 Championship reached the semi-finals before bowing out to Sweden in extra time.
