Les Hôpitaux-Neufs

Les Hôpitaux-Neufs is a commune in the Doubs department in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region in eastern France.

The commune is situated 17 km (11 mi) southeast of Pontarlier on the road through the Jura mountains.

International traffic passes through the commune on Route 57, and only a few farms have retained their typical rural quality.

The commune goes back to the hospital established in the 13th century by Jean de Châlons-d'Arlay, Count of Burgundy.

The church built in 1368 was burned down by Swedish troops during the 30 Years' War and restored in the 17th century in Renaissance Italian style.
