Lespedeza cuneata

The stems are covered densely in leaves, which are each divided into leaflets up to 2.5 centimetres (1 inch) long.

[3] Lespedeza cuneata is native to eastern Asia and is also found in India, Pakistan, Afghanistan and Australia.

[7] This plant has been introduced to the United States, South Africa, Brazil, Canada, and Mexico.

[8] When it invades a habitat it reduces the abundance and diversity of native plants and can make the area less attractive to wildlife.

[10] Possible biological pest control agents include the Lespedeza webworm (Tetralopha scortealis).
