Letheobia newtoni is a species of snake in the family Typhlopidae.

F. Newton", who collected the type specimen on Ilhéu das Rolas in the Gulf of Guinea.

[5] The holotype of L. newtoni is 40 cm (16 in) in total length, which includes a tail 6 mm (0.24 in) long.

The body is slender, the diameter not exceeding 8 mm (0.31 in).

Dorsally and ventrally, it is uniformly yellowish white.
