The company operates through 23 offices in North America (Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, Miami, New York and San Francisco), Europe (Amsterdam, Brussels, Frankfurt, London, Madrid, Milan, Munich, Paris, Stockholm, Vienna and Zurich), Asia (Beijing, Mumbai, Bangalore and Tokyo) and South America (São Paulo).

Since April 2023, the firm also increased its geographic reach into Oceania through a strategic partnership with Miles Advisory Partners, which has offices in Sydney and Melbourne.

Through the late 1990s, Lincoln Partners grew to an organization of approximately 30 people and became a registered broker dealer.

In January 2006, Lincoln International was formed through the merger of Lincoln Partners and Peters Associates, two middle market investment banks based in the U.S. and Germany, respectively, as well as a team from KPMG joining to form a Paris office.
