Robert Stephen Bickerstaff Jr. (April 15, 1946 – October 4, 2019) was an American lawyer, legal scholar, expert on redistricting, and book author.
[citation needed] He was on active duty as a first lieutenant in the United States Air Force (1971–1973).
[citation needed] Beginning in 1976, he served as an assistant attorney general of Texas.
The book covers the history of the 2003 Texas congressional redistricting and its aftermath.
[3] He is also the author or co-author of two books of legal analysis published by the Texas Legislative Council,[2] and author of the forthcoming book Election Systems and Gerrymandering Worldwide (Springer, 2020).
