Linwood, Pennsylvania

Linwood is a census-designated place (CDP) in Delaware County, Pennsylvania, United States.

[4] It occupies the eastern half of Lower Chichester and is home to more than 90% of the township's population.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the Linwood CDP has a total area of 0.50 square miles (1.3 km2), all land.

[6] Holy Saviour-St. John Fisher School in Linwood opened in September 1917.

[9] At the end of its life it served three parishes: Holy Saviour, St. John Fisher, and Immaculate Conception.

There were 1,275 housing units at an average density of 2,413.4 per square mile (931.8/km2).

23.7% of all households were made up of individuals, and 8.1% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.

In 2015, worship services at Holy Savior ceased; the archdiocese stated that the church needed $600,000 in repairs.
