A hippie disk jockey called the Groovy Guru (played by guest star Larry Storch) seeks to control the minds of teenagers through his radio show.

Shortly after, KAOS finds out and hunts down 86 and 99 at the park, ultimately leading them to the evil Waxman, a villain who turns his victims into wax statues.

Season Four of Get Smart aired on Saturday nights following Adam-12 and opposite The Newlywed Game (ABC) and the second half of The Jackie Gleason Show (CBS).

The opening title sequence was expanded slightly featuring scenes of Washington, D.C., and its accompanying music was jazzed up a bit.
