For both broadcasts, Harold Johnson of Charlotte, North Carolina, was the play-by-play announcer, and Russell Moon of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, was the analyst.

The 1978 halftime guest was future Hall of Famer Terry Evanshen, then of the Toronto Argonauts.
