They dropped out of the top two tiers of English football for the first time in their history, in a season that saw them deducted ten points for going into administration.
Ten years later, in 2020, the club were promoted back to the Premier League after a 16-year absence.
All these honours were won under the management of either Arthur Fairclough, Don Revie, Howard Wilkinson and Marcelo Bielsa .
