[7] Aside from winning the Slovenian title as Maribor's manager, Matjaž Kek won several championships with the club as a player.

He also holds the club record for most appearances and goals in the Slovenian top division with 436 and 159, respectively.

[9] Furthermore, he also holds the club record for most appearances and goals in the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) competitions, with 94 and 31, respectively.
