The UAB Blazers football team represents the University of Alabama at Birmingham in the American Athletic Conference (AAC), competing as part of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS).
Former NFL quarterback Trent Dilfer is the current head coach; he replaced Bryant Vincent following the latter's firing after the 2022 season.
Watson Brown led the team to its first postseason game, the 2004 Hawaii Bowl.
