Laurence Fishburne is an American actor of the stage and screen.
He has received various accolades throughout is career, including a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Actor thanks to his portrayal of Ike Turner in the film What's Love Got to Do with It (1993).
For his work on television, he has earned eleven Primetime Emmy Award nominations, winning three times for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series for TriBeCa (1993), Outstanding Made for Television Movie as a producer of Miss Evers' Boys (1997), and Outstanding Actor in a Short Form Comedy or Drama Series for #FreeRayshawn (2017).
He has also been nominated five times at the Screen Actors Guild Awards, thanks to The Tuskegee Airmen (1996), Mystic River (2003), Bobby (2006), Thurgood (2011), and Black-ish (2017, 2018).
For his work on stage, he has received two Tony Award nominations, winning once for Best Featured Actor in a Play for August Wilson's Two Trains Running in 1992.
