MercyMe is an American contemporary Christian music band based in Greenville, Texas.

[1] The band formed in 1994[2] and released six independent records from 1995-2000 before signing with INO Records and releasing their major-label debut, Almost There, in 2001.

Coming Up to Breathe was nominated for the Dove Award for Pop/Contemporary Album of the Year as well as the Grammy Award for Best Pop/Contemporary Gospel Album.
