The following list sorts all cities in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia with a population of more than 50,000.

This list refers only to the population of individual municipalities within their defined limits, which does not include other municipalities or suburban areas within urban agglomerations.

The following table lists the 76 cities in North Rhine Westphalia with a population of at least 50,000 on 15 May 2022, as estimated by the Federal Statistical Office of Germany.
