Bass guitar functionality was added to the North American version of the game via downloadable content on August 14, 2012.
As of March 31, 2020, 1,447 additional songs have been made available as DLC, 1,444 of which are available to purchase and download from the Rocksmith store.
The three songs no longer available for download for users who don't already own them are those included in the "Holiday 3-Song Pack".
