The Sugar Beet Factory closed in 1913 and the demand for their agricultural products declined, that and the climate of the area convinced many families to return to California.

The air field was deactivated in 1945 and is now occupied by the Thunderbird School of Global Management which is located southeast of the intersection of West Greenway Road & North 59th Avenue in Glendale, Arizona.
Among those who are interred in the cemetery are early pioneers, mayors, businessman and veterans who fought in every military conflict in which the United States has been involved starting from the American Civil War onward.
