Schools Relations with: Pope John Paul II was celebrated during his lifetime and later posthumously with several honours and as the namesake of several places and institutions.

Educational and cultural centres named in honour of the Pope include the John Paul II Pontifical Theological Institute for Marriage and Family Sciences whose largest campuses are located at the Lateran University in Rome, Italy and Catholic University of America in Washington, DC, United States.
