List of post-nominal letters (Canada)

The order in which they follow an individual's name is: Normally no more than two are given, representing the highest award of each type.

For example, a Bachelor of Laws degree (LLB) from North American schools is treated as equivalent to a Juris Doctor degree (JD).

This post nominal is presented by the Minister of National Defence to individuals upon successful completion of the four components, which are academics (undergraduate degree), leadership, athletics, and bilingualism.

Canadians can still be awarded British medals, as well as those from other countries, but this must first be approved by the Government of Canada.
