List of prehistoric scheduled monuments in Powys (Brecknockshire)

With over a quarter of Wales's land area, and covering much of the eastern half of the country, it is a county of remote uplands, low population and no coastline.

This list shows the many prehistoric sites in Brecknockshire (also historically known as Breconshire, and not including those parts that are no longer in Powys).

There are 52 Iron Age hillforts, defensive and other enclosures including settlements and hut sites.

The compilation of the list is undertaken by Cadw Welsh Historic Monuments, which is an executive agency of the National Assembly of Wales.
