Unlike other parts of the world, almost all of the records set during the period contemporary to the "Pioneer-era" (1900s–1940s) in American wrestling still remain.
A number of these events are also among the highest attended pro wrestling shows of all-time.
Rafvela vs. Felix Lamban, promoted by Luis Bamala, was held at the Estadio Metropolitano on August 24, 1957, then the largest football stadium in Spain,[1] drawing a crowd of over 35,000.
The main event was a match between Harley Race and Junkyard Dog featuring André the Giant as special guest referee.
