[1] The National Capital Region has a complicated system of protected view planes that are governed by the National Capital Commission and adhered to by the City of Ottawa and Ville de Gatineau.

The tallest building in Ottawa—Gatineau is the 45-storey, 143 m (469 ft) tall Claridge Icon located in Little Italy.

This list ranks buildings in Ottawa-Gatineau that stand at least 90 m (300 ft) tall, based on CTBUH height measurement standards.

Heights of buildings built in the pre-internet era on this page are measured using Google Earth measurement tools, as previously posted heights of these buildings found elsewhere on the internet are typically sourced from the now defunct site Emporis.com, which had inaccurate data.
