Bowness-on-Solway is a civil parish in the Cumberland district in Cumbria, England.
The parish contains the village of Bowness-on-Solway, and the settlements of Port Carlisle, Glasson, Drumburgh, Easton, Fingland, Whitrigg, and Anthorn.
Because of its proximity to the Scottish border, it contains fortified houses, some of which have survived and are listed.
In the early 19th century the Carlisle Canal was built, and was later replaced by the Port Carlisle Dock and Railway.
The other listed buildings include a medieval cross, a church, a war memorial, and a public house.
