Little Mountain Sound Studios

From the 1970s through the 1990s, it was the most successful recording studio in Western Canada and the home for many years to producers Bruce Fairbairn and Bob Rock.

Albums by Aerosmith, Bon Jovi, AC/DC, Metallica, Bryan Adams, Mötley Crüe, David Lee Roth, Loverboy, Dan Reed Network, and the Cult, among many others, were recorded there.

Little Mountain Sound Studios was started in 1972 as a 50/50 partnership between Western Broadcasting (CKNW radio) and Griffiths, Gibson Productions (GGP).

Bruce Fairbairn started recording at Little Mountain Sound Studios with Prism, a band in which he played trumpet.

The Goose Creek Symphony Olivia Newton-John Loverboy Bryan Adams The Cheer Bon Jovi Aerosmith (produced by Fairbairn) Mötley Crüe The Cult Poison Metallica David Coverdale and Jimmy Page Van Halen Additionally, the British Columbia Rapid Transit Company (now part of Translink) recorded the chimes for the Skytrain system in 1984–1985.
