Liu Kang (artist)

In 1970, Liu was awarded the Bintang Bakti Masyarakat (Public Service Star) by the Singapore Government.

[4] In May 2003, the 92-year-old artist gave the majority of his paintings and sketches, amounting to over 1,000 pieces, to the Singapore Art Museum.

The forum brought together a panel of established artists and scholars to discuss Liu's significant influence and contributions to Singapore's art history.

[4] One of his sons, Liu Thai Ker, is an architect, urban planner and was the chairman of the National Arts Council of Singapore.
