Lockhart, Florida

Lockhart is a census-designated place in Orange County, Florida, United States.

The community is named for David Lockhart (19 March 1864 - 26 August 1923).

[5] According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 11.8 km2 (4.6 mi2), of which 11.3 km2 (4.4 mi2) is land and 0.5 km2 (0.2 mi2) (4.17%) is water.

At the 2000 census,[2] there were 12,944 people, 4,642 households and 3,305 families living in the CDP.

20.1% of all households were made up of individuals, and 5.2% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
