Built on the site of the Military Vehicles and Engineering Establishment, the studio began operations in 2006.

[2][3][4] In 2021, Netflix signed a long-term lease deal with Aviva Investors to expand operations and invest in Longcross Studios.

[8] Longcross Studios began operations the following year and has since hosted a wide range of film and television productions, including the James Bond film Skyfall (2012), ITV crime drama Broadchurch (2013-17), and the Marvel Studios production Doctor Strange in The Multiverse of Madness (2022).
