Lonnie Paxton

Lonnie Paxton (born August 8, 1968) is an American politician who has served as the President pro tempore of the Oklahoma Senate since 2025.

He served on the city council and as mayor of Tuttle when the town was connected to Mustang via a bridge.

[2] Paxton was elected to the Oklahoma Senate representing the 23rd district in 2016.

It would have lessened the penalties for cockfighting in the state, similar to House Bill 2530, authored by Justin Humphrey.

[6][7] On January 7, 2025, he was voted the President pro tempore of the Oklahoma Senate, succeeding Greg Treat.
