Loomis is an unincorporated community located in the town of Lake, Marinette County, Wisconsin, United States.
[1] Loomis is located along the Escanaba and Lake Superior Railroad at the intersection of Loomis Road and County Highway G,[2] at an elevation of 692 feet (211 m).
[2] A post office formerly operated in Loomis,[3][4] but was shut down in 1933.
[5] In 1911 a grocery store was established by Joseph Schroeder[6] (1885–1931), an early settler who also served as postmaster,[4] and soon afterward a cheese factory was started by Bonaventura Cubalchini (1885–1948).
