Admiral Lord Edward Russell, CB (24 April 1805 – 21 May 1887) was a British naval officer and Whig politician.
He was the son of John Russell, 6th Duke of Bedford, and his second wife Lady Georgina Gordon, and was the younger half-brother of future Prime Minister John Russell.
Russell gained the rank of midshipman in 1819 in the service of the Royal Navy.
[1] He held the office of Naval Aide-de-Camp to HM Queen Victoria between 1846 and 1850.
He died in 1887, aged 82, and is buried in Brompton Cemetery, London.
