Lotus tenellus is a species of flowering plant in the family Fabaceae, native to the Canary Islands.
[1] Some authors have included L. tenellus in Lotus glaucus, a species found in Madeira and the Salvage Islands.
The leaves are either unstalked (sessile) or have a very short petiole, and are made up of five pinnate leaflets.
[5] A 2006 survey of Lotus section Pedrosia treats L. leptophyllus as a synonym of L. tenellus.
[2] Lotus tenellus is found in the coastal zone of Tenerife and Gran Canaria.
