Louise Elizabeth Jones is a British Labour Party politician who has been the Member of Parliament for North East Derbyshire since 2024.
[1] Jones studied Chinese at the University of Edinburgh[2] She is a former Army intelligence officer and a veteran of the War in Afghanistan.
[4] Jones' worked as a senior manager at McKenzie, an "Insurtech analysing the impact of natural disasters".
[5] She served as a councillor for the Loughborough East ward on Charnwood Borough Council, resigning from this role in March 2024 after she was selected as the prospective parliamentary candidate for North East Derbyshire.
[6] Jones and fellow newly elected Labour MP Jeevun Sandher announced their engagement, shortly after his proposal on 1 December 2024.
