Lower Cowley is a rural locality in the Cassowary Coast Region, Queensland, Australia.
The land is flat and low-lying and is used to grow crops, predominantly sugarcane.
[3] The locality takes its name from neighbouring Cowley Beach, which in turn is named after horticulturalist Ebenezer Cowley, who was the overseer at Kamerunga State Nursery.
[2] Cowley Lower State School opened on 10 May 1937 and closed in 1956.
