Lucile Eaves

Lucile Eaves was born in Leavenworth, Kansas, in 1869 and went to high school in Peoria, Illinois.

[2] During the period of 1902–07, with an intermittent leave of absence, she served a Head Resident of South Park Settlement in San Francisco.

[2] After finishing the book, she accepted a job teaching applied sociology at the University of Nebraska in Lincoln, where she taught about European and American labor legislation, social betterment movements, poverty, and criminology.

She moved to Boston to teach at a Simmons College graduate program operated through Women's Educational and Industrial Union.

[4] When Lucile Eaves died in 1953 in Brookline, Massachusetts, she was professor emeritus at Simmons and the school's oldest living faculty member.
