Luis María Ramírez Boettner

Luis María Ramírez Boettner (March 13, 1918 – July 25, 2017) was a Paraguayan diplomat and lawyer who served as the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Paraguay from December 16, 1993, until May 9, 1996.

[1][2] Born in 1918, Ramírez started a bachelor's degree in philosophy and letters from the University of Chile in 1934.

[1] Additionally, he served as the first secretary of the Embassy of Paraguay in the United Kingdom and consul general in London in 1947.

[2] He then served as Paraguay's Minister of Foreign Affairs from December 16, 1993, until May 9, 1996 during the administration of President Juan Carlos Wasmosy.

[2] Ramírez served concurrently as Ambassador to the Sovereign Military Order of Malta beginning on September 12, 1996.
