Carty began playing rugby at Marist College in Athlone where he won two Connacht Senior Cups in 2012 and 2013.
[2] In 2021, he moved to the United States and signed with Major League Rugby team, the LA Giltinis.
[4] Following two years with LA, including a appearance of the bench in the Giltinis’ championship game win over Rugby Atlanta in 2021, Carty signed with the Chicago Hounds for the 2023 season.
[3] Carty was selected for the Irish squad at the 2017 World Rugby Under 20 Championship as an injury replacement.
Luke Carty attended NUI Galway from 2016 to 2018, earning a Bachelor of Commerce Degree.
