Interstate 76, the Pennsylvania Turnpike, crosses the northern part of the township, with access from Exit 201, the Blue Mountain Interchange.

Other unincorporated communities are McKinney, Otterbein, Mowersville, and Lurgan.

15.9% of all households were made up of individuals, and 6.6% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
