Márta Korbonits

Márta Korbonits is a Hungarian physician, Professor of Endocrinology and deputy director of the William Harvey Research Institute at the Queen Mary University of London.

She was first introduced to endocrinology during her fourth year of medical school, where she was inspired by Edit Gláz.

[1][2] She moved to the United Kingdom for her specialist training, and joined Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry.

[1][3] At Barts her medical doctorate looked at the growth of secretagogues on hypothalamic hormone release.

During her Medical Research Council Clinician Science Fellowship she started investigated ghrelin physiology and genetics.
