[1] Each team can register only two imported players, provided they are 18 years old and above and have a record of playing in an overseas futsal league.

[2] A total of 14 imported players were introduced - 11 from Brazil, 1 from Indonesia, South Korea & Afghanistan.The launch ceremony of the Malaysia Premier Futsal League (MPFL) Division 1 2024 was officiated by the President of the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM), Datuk Haji Hamidin Haji Mohd Amin at the Panasonic National Sports Complex (KSN), Shah Alam.

It was followed by the first match between Shah Alam City and the defending champions, Pahang Rangers which ended with a 6–6 result.

During the course of a season (starting in mid-February and ending in early November) each club plays the others twice (home and away) for a total of 14 games.
