Macau Federation of Trade Unions

The Macau Federation of Trade Unions (MFTU)[a] is a pro-Beijing, leftist, labour and political group in Macau.

[1] It is the largest and most influential labour group in the city, with over 50,000 members in 43 associated trade unions.

[2] Presided by Ho Sut Heng[3] and chaired by Lee Chong Cheng,[4] it currently holds four seats in the Legislative Assembly.

[5] The MFTU and a few other pro-Beijing organisations formed an electoral alliance named the "Union for Development" in the run-up to the 1992 legislative and municipal elections.
