[4] On 21 July 2023, Hawkesby signed for Brighton & Hove Albion in the English Women's Super League.
[6] On 29 December 2023, Sydney FC announced Hawkesby's return to the club, signing until the end of the 2023–24 A-League Women season.
[7] She finished the season with 5 goals and 3 assists in 18 appearances, was named to the bench of the Professional Footballers Australia team of the season,[8] and named player of the match for the 2024 A-League Women grand final match on the way to Sydney FC winning its second consecutive league championship.
[9] In June 2022, after an impressive season with Sydney FC, Hawkesby was called up to Australia's senior national team for their upcoming friendlies against Spain and Portugal.
