Madesimo (Italian pronunciation: [maˈdɛːzimo, maˈdeːzimo], called Isolato until 1983) is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Sondrio in the Italian region Lombardy, located about 110 kilometres (68 mi) north of Milan and about 50 kilometres (31 mi) northwest of Sondrio, on the border with Switzerland.

Madesimo is a popular place for winter sports and summer holidays, and offers a variety of slopes and hills for both skiing and snowboarding.

It features over 30 slopes which range from beginners to expert level.

It is here that the Tuscan poet Giosuè Carducci would come in search of inspiration for his works.
