During its inception it was a private medical college in un-carved Bihar state.
Since the inception of regional Kolhan University, Chaibasa on 12 August 2009, the college has been under its affiliation.
When the college started, it was 6 kilometers away from the city centre, in the foothill of Dalma range.
The students are admitted through NEET exam conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA).
Total 21 The college is recognised by the National Medical Commission[1] and is currently affiliated to Kolhan University.
