Maidenwell is a rural town and locality in the South Burnett Region, Queensland, Australia.
[1] Pioneer settler John King dug the first well in the district, hence the name Maidenwell.
[10] The Maidenwell branch of the Queensland Country Women's Association meets at the CWA Hall in Pool Street.

There is a deep cold pool at the base of the falls surrounded by granite cliffs.
It is a popular tourist spot for picnicking, swimming, birdwatching and photography.
