Macran (Persian: ماكران)[a] is a village in, and the capital of, Goharbaran-e Jonubi Rural District of Goharbaran District, Miandorud County, Mazandaran province, Iran.

[4] At the time of the 2006 National Census, the village's population was 1,601 in 448 households, when it was in Miandorud-e Bozorg Rural District of the former Miandorud District of Sari County.

[5] The following census in 2011 counted 1,660 people in 498 households,[6] by which time the district had been separated from the county in the establishment of Miandorud County.
