Manchester is a village in southeast Scott County, Illinois, United States.

[3] According to the 2010 census, Manchester has a total area of 1.06 square miles (2.75 km2), all land.

The Village still has two of the fire trucks, but has no members who know how to operate them or is licensed to drive them, including Mayor Drake.

On April 24, 2013, a shooting left six people dead (including one unborn child) and another injured.

[7] The suspect Ricky Smith, a nephew of the village's mayor, Ron Drake, was killed in a gunfight with police.
