Maradu

Maradu (Malayalam pronunciation: [mɐɾɐɖɨ̆]) is a municipality and census town[2] in the Ernakulam district of Kerala, India.

The incident received widespread media attention, and generated controversy across Kerala for the alleged corruption in the local government sector.

George Vakayil (also known as Vakayilachan) is observed every year on 4 November in the St. Mary Magdalene Roman Catholic Church, Maradu by thousands of devotees.

In addition to this new greenfield National Highway project, the existing NH 85 (Kochi-Dhanushkodi) starting from Kundannoor junction will be widened to a four lane one under Bharatmala.

Maradu is also a part of the region which comes under the Greater Cochin Development Authority (GCDA).
