Marcq-en-Barœul (French pronunciation: [maʁkɑ̃ baʁœl]; Picard: Marke-in-Bareul; older Dutch: Marke) is a commune in the Nord department in the Hauts-de-France region, northern France.
It features expensive real estate, especially alongside the Grand Boulevard and Hippodrome des Flandres racecourse.
The city is also home to one of the campuses of the elite international private collège and lycée active bilingue Jeannine-Manuel.
Groupe Holder and subsidiaries Ladurée and Paul have their head offices in the commune.
More than six hundred players and sixty volunteers belong to the Olympique Marcquois Rugby which is one of the most important clubs in the County.
