Marian Banaś (born 13 July 1955 in Piekielnik) is a Polish politician and civil servant.
He briefly served in politics as the Minister of Finance for the First Cabinet of Mateusz Morawiecki from 4 June to 30 August 2019.
[1] He now serves as the President of the Supreme Audit Office,[2] one of the oldest state institutions in Poland.
In 1979 Banaś graduated from the Faculty of Law and Administration of the Jagiellonian University.
[3] He also studied philosophy at the Pontifical University of John Paul II.
