[3][4][5] The Mountain Bike Hall of Fame, founded in 1988 in Crested Butte, Colorado, relocated to Fairfax, California in 2014 and became part of the Marin Museum of Bicycling.
[9] The museum also includes a selection of 20th-century road, track, touring, and transportation bikes, as well as a library and archive of cycling books and periodicals, and other related materials and artifacts.
[10] The museum was founded in 2013 by Joe Breeze, Otis Guy, and Marc Vendetti, all of whom are Mountain Bike Hall of Fame inductees, and Julia Violich, Keith Hastings, and Lena Estrella.
The museum is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and is run by its board, a team of dedicated staff, and volunteers.
